Mr. J’s Academy was the perfect fit for our son in 6th grade. We felt that he wasn’t getting the personal attention at a large, public school and he wasn’t being challenged in the areas he needed to be. Mr. J’s project based school was perfect. Tyler was given the opportunity to be challenged in his writing capabilities while at the same time getting more personal attention in math. Not only did he enjoy the school and the small, family classroom atmosphere, he loved being able to work at his own pace…whether that be an accelerating or slower pace depending on what he needed. When he returned to regular public school he was more than ready and prepared, and was able to excel. Mr. J is a diamond in the rough…he truly loves his job and loves his kids. He takes the responsibility and sanctity of teaching seriously, and has a genuine concern for each and every kid for what they need to be successful…not just academically, but also personally in their self-esteem and confidence. Mr. J is truly the teacher every parent prays their child will have. Thanks Mr. J !!
